Very clean, cozy beds, accomodated our family of 8 in a suite, last minute. Didnt make us book 2 rooms or charge us for many children. The free breakfast was decent.... Make ypur own waffles, fruit, yogurt, muffins, hb eggs in a crockpot. Coffee/tea and juice station. The staff was friendly, curteous amd helpful. I definetly recommend.
Nice hotel, slightly above average continental breakfast (muffins, fruits, cold cereals, juices, tea/coffee, waffles). Wish there was a pool here. Had a strange check-in experience with front desk clerk, where she felt I needed to know the Liqour Store was open until 9 (my large family (in-laws) and I were all down for a funeral - none of my in-laws were told this information when they checked in. One could not help but wonder if being a visible minority vs. my in-laws not, played a role in this? I did make a strange face at the receptionist after the comment to say - why do I need to know that? Are you assuming something about me? She backpeddled and replied "some people just like to know that." My in-laws (3 other check-ins) said they were not spoken to in such a manner).
No elevator, tvs were about 27 inch and hard to see from couch or bed. The suite has a little living room but the bathroom sink is in the living room as well and not in the bathroom. That's the only sink which isn't the best if you have any dishes. Its decor is pretty dated, not a big deal. Staff were generally pleasant. The lake is really close and do are the trails which is great. The need was not very comfortable and the sheets came off while sleeping. The AC works great! Shower was hot and enjoyable.
The room & toilet were very clean and tidy, well maintained. Room is of decent size and its of pretty good value for an overnight stay. The only comment i have is the mattress is sliding and moving off the base. Everything else is all good.
Place was fully booked, but that was no indication of condition. It is long overdue for some upgrading: Bathtub had a welded handle on it that was rusty & moldy, looked liked caulking had been used to secure it (?). Entire hotel had an old smell to it, the breakfast was terrible - very basic with high calorie packaged muffins, sugary cereal. I used their free WiFi and was subsequently hacked and by the next day I had to change my passwords ( I informed them of this - but no 'thank you e-mail' arrived) . Not a return destination for me!
